Stewardship Services

King Trust Company, N.A. believes stewardship is a life-long process. More than simply placing money in an offering plate on Sunday, it is an attitude toward the resources God has entrusted to us. Thus, all of the services available through King Trust are thoughtfully offered to help you become a wise steward in all of the phases of life.

Accumulation - during the accumulation phase of life, you are beginning to save for the large expenses of life: buying a home or car, getting married, planning for your children's education or planning for your retirement, to name a few. Stewardship at this level includes wise investment and planning for the future through education funds for your children and retirement funds for you and your spouse. Financial planning services are offered to help you identify your specific needs and goals. Various trust and investment accounts are also available to meet those needs and goals.

Financial Independence - during this phase, you are ready to begin to use what you have saved during accumulation. You may be ready to buy that cabin by the lake, help your kids and grandkids go to college, or take the trip you and your spouse have always dreamed of. Stewardship in this phase might involve beginning to give charitably to those organizations and ministries that have touched your life. Many options are available to provide you with income as well as various tax benefits.

Distribution - during the distribution phase, you are able to plan for the distribution of your assets following your death. Stewardship here involves making sure your loved ones are taken care of. You may also choose to leave a portion of your estate to a ministry or other charitable organization. Concerns for family and the ministries you support can be addressed through our estate planning services.

Commenting on the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), William Barclay says, "It is not a man's talent which matters, what matters is how he uses it. God never demands from a man abilities which he has not got; but he does demand that a man should use to the full the abilities which he does possess. Men are not equal in talent, but men can be equal in effort. The parable tells us that whatever talent we have, little or great, we must lay it at the service of God." King Trust Company is ready to assist you on every step of your stewardship journey.
