Client in Jackson, Michigan...When my wife told me she had signed us up for an appointment with King Trust Company, N.A. for financial planning, I had two immediate thoughts. One was that we were going to finally have to make a budget and (sigh) stick to it, and the other was relief that we were finally going to get ourselves organized and find out where we really were financially. I knew we had some work ahead of us, but I felt a peace that we were going to be able to be more responsible stewards of what God had entrusted to us.
The first step was to collect all of our financial information into one place, a job made much easier by the fill-in-the-blank forms they sent to us. Actually, it was easier than filling out the tax forms for my accountant! Then, we met and discussed our financial needs, wants and means. They then took all of this information and used computer analysis to figure out what our costs were going to be (corrected for inflation) and what we had available to meet those costs. When we met again, it was a pleasant surprise to find out that we were really OK in several areas, and to find out exactly what we had to do to meet costs in others.
Now, any financial planner would do roughly the same for a client, but King Trust had something more to offer. I knew the people we were dealing with were fellow believers, that they had integrity and we had a spiritually discerned feeling of trust for their advice. I would recommend them to anybody without reservation.
